Embodying the special atmosphere of this Tokyo district, he enjoys going to the movies, chatting with beautiful actresses, and drinking good sake. In his documentary, Yoshinori SATO not only portrays a loveable eccentric, but sketches a fascinating part of local history.

About Yoshinori SATO
佐藤慶紀
Yoshinori SATO was born in Aichi Prefecture in 1975. Following his studies at the University of Southern California, he worked primarily on TV productions. His feature film debut BAD CHILD (2013) was screened at numerous international film festivals, as was his second film HER MOTHER (2016). In 2019, he made his first documentary, SHINJUKU TIGER (NC ‘19).
