In the early 1920s, Lady Minako runs a boarding house in Tokyo inhabited by eccentric guests. One of them spends his time peeping on the tenants from the attic and soon finds himself involved in a series of bizarre deaths. Based on a story by Edogawa Rampo, this gorgeously shot erotic thriller hugely influenced the style of many subsequent adaptations of his works.
