In this short film program, we present the bizarre side of Japanese cinema: First, UPSIDE-DOWN GENIUS playfully questions the audience’s perception. The following films are not for the faint of heart: THE TREE OF SINNERS, which depicts a mysterious limbo, and the haunting VOID. Finally, developing its own visual language, KILLMAGEDDON deals with the controversial violent films of 1990s Japan.
