Shot with a handheld camera, the film’s playful imagery clashes with the violent escalation of events. Hideaki ANNO was already world-famous for NEON GENESIS EVANGELION when he made his first feature film in 1998.

Hideaki ANNO, born in Yamaguchi in 1960, made a name for himself as the director of the multi-award-winning anime series NEON GENESIS EVANGELION. Since 1998 he has also been directing live-action films.
