About Hiromasa YONEBAYASHI
米林宏昌
Hiromasa YONEBAYASHI, born 1973 in Ishikawa prefecture, studied at the Kanagawa College of Art. After graduation he worked as an animator for the famous Studio Ghibli, where he contributed to films such as PRINCESS MONONOKE (1997) and the oscar-winning SPIRITED AWAY (2001 / NC ’03). With ARIETTY (NC ’11) he debuted as director in 2010.
About Yoshiyuki MOMOSE
百瀬義行
Yoshiyuki MOMOSE has been working in the animation industry since 1971 and began working at Studio Ghibli in 1988, where he worked on such films as GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES (1988) or SPIRITED AWAY (2001 / NC ‘03). He later joined Studio Ponoc, founded by former Ghibli employees. There he directed the short film LIFE AIN’T GONNA LOSE, which was released as part of the episodic film MODEST HEROES (2018 / NC ’25), and the feature film THE IMAGINARY (2023 / NC ’25).
About Akihiko YAMASHITA
山下明彦
Akihiko YAMASHITA started working in the anime industry in the 1980s. Since working as a key animator on SPIRITED AWAY (2001 / NC ’03), he has been involved in numerous other Studio Ghibli productions, including HOWL’S MOVING CASTLE (2004), ARRIETTY (2010 / NC ’11), and WHEN MARNIE WAS THERE (2014). He made his directorial debut with the short film A SUMO WRESTLER’S TAIL (2010), which was produced exclusively for the Ghibli Museum in Tokyo.
