In 1956, blood bank employee Mizuki travels to a remote village caught in a conflict over the succession of a pharmaceutical company. But something is off and Mizuki is confronted with mysterious deaths, dark secrets, and a ghostly stranger. This horror anime tells the origin story of Kitaro, the graveyard boy, a cult manga character by Shigeru MIZUKI.
