After Asa’s parents die in a car accident, she moves in with her aunt Makio, a chaotic author. The previously sheltered teen Asa soon clashes with Makio, who begins to regret taking in her detested sister’s daughter. Natsuki SETA’s manga adaptation follows the protagonists as they resolve their conflicts with each other and within themselves.

About Natsuki SETA
瀬田なつき

Natsuki SETA, born in Osaka in 1979, studied at Yokohama National University and film at the Tokyo University of the Arts in Yokohama. After graduating, she worked as an assistant for Takeshi KITANO and Kiyoshi KUROSAWA. Her debut came with A LIAR AND A BROKEN GIRL (2011), which was invited to multiple international festivals. Nippon Connection showed her feature-length works PARKS (2017 / NC ’17) and WORLDS APART (2024 / NC ’25). In 2025, she was a member of the NIPPON VISIONS jury.
