Workshop: Kirigami – The Art Of Paper Cutting

Kirigami combines paper cutting with origami folding techniques. The artist Michiyo ARAKAWA from Okinawa transforms paper into unexpected shapes to create intricate window decorations and more. In her world of Kirigami, there are neither mistakes nor rules – true to the slogan “Everyone is different, and everything is good,” participants make their own Kirigami flowers bloom. An exhibition of her works will be held at the entrance of the NaxosAtelier during the festival.
