Performance: Nihon Buyo

In the 17th century, the traditional Japanese dance nihon buyo developed from kabuki and noh theater. Elegant and expressive movements combine with the use of colorful kimonos and precious fans to create a beguiling spectacle. Senyumeji NISHIKAWA and her students will perform classical dances from the Nishikawa school – the oldest training institution for nihon buyo in Japan.
