About Hideo JOJO
城定秀夫
Hideo JOJO, born in Tokyo in 1975, began making 8mm films while studying at Musashino Art University. He then worked as an assistant director for pink films and V-Cinema productions. Since his feature-length debut MARRIED WOMEN WHO WANT A TASTE (2003), he has written and directed over 100 films of various genres, which have won multiple awards. From 2016 to 2019, he won the Japanese Pink Award for erotic films four times in a row. At the 2020 Yokohama Film Festival, he received the Best Director Award for the feature film AROUND THE EDGE OF THE STAND (2020).
