Nippon Open Air: Kendama
Nippon Culture º
The skill toy kendama has been popular in Japan for hundreds of years. It consists of a handle (ken) and a ball (dama) connected by a string. Using momentum, you try to make the ball land on the handle – but with practice, skill and perseverance, you can do much more than that! Kendama players from Frankfurt present their best tricks, peppered with juggling and acrobatic elements, and show off the possibilities of this traditional wooden toy.
