A Lecture By Dr. Victoria von Asschenfeldt

The Hessian Doll and Toy Museum in Hanau owns a unique collection of Japanese dolls and toys from different eras. In her lecture, museum director Dr. Victoria Asschenfeldt uses many pictorial examples to tell the stories behind the exhibits, classifies the toys in terms of cultural history, and presents the many years of cooperation with the Warabekan Toy Museum in Tottori (Japan).

On Sunday, May 29, you will have the opportunity to discover the Japan collection of the Hessian Doll and Toy Museum during a special guided tour. Tickets will be available on that day at the museum. Reservations are possible in advance via info@hpusm.de. In addition, you can visit the museum for free on that day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with your event ticket.
