A Lecture By Dr. Stephan von der Schulenburg
Long before the moving image, the presentation of colorful light pictures with the magic lantern, accompanied by vivid fairy tales and legends, caused enthusiasm. In his lecture, art historian Dr. Stephan von der Schulenburg from the Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt will introduce you to this fascinating precursor of cinema and show you Japanese magic lantern pictures from the museum’s own collection.
With your event ticket, you can visit the exhibitions at the MAK free of charge on May 26 from 3 to 6 p.m.
