Soy sauce is a basic component of Japanese cuisine and also enjoys great popularity in Germany. Mariko YANO from the Consulate General of Japan in Frankfurt am Main will give an insight into the complex production process behind the supposedly simple composition of water, soybeans and salt. Afterwards, chef Takeo SHINGU presents the extensive range of uses for the sauce. The dishes are easy to prepare and can later be recreated at home.
