Okabre Plays A Page Of Madness
Nippon Cinema ª
The Austrian musical collective Okabre writes and performs alternative compositions for cinematic works of art. Their fourth film concert series is dedicated to director Teinosuke KINUGASA, one of the great pioneers of Japanese cinema, and his legendary silent film A PAGE OF MADNESS. This avantgarde horror drama tells the story of a janitor of a psychiatric institution and his wife, who is a patient there. Okabre creates an impressive electronic soundtrack that gives new life to the visually stunning film classic.
