About Takeshi FUKUNAGA
福永壮志
Takeshi FUKUNAGA was born in Hokkaido Prefecture in 1982 and studied film production and film editing in New York. His first feature film OUT OF MY HAND premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2015. His second feature film AINU MOSIR (2020 / NC ’21) was made with the support of the Cannes Cinéfondation and had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. In addition to his accolades for his directorial work, he won numerous prizes as an editor, like for THE BIRTH OF SAKÉ (2015 / NC ’16).
