Akihiro MIMA, geboren 1985 in Kyoto, erlangte 2008 seinen Bachelor of Performing Arts an der Kyoto University of Art and Design. Ab 2010 studierte er an der Tokyo University of the Arts Filmregie. UTOPIA SOUNDS ist Abschlussfilm und Langfilmdebüt des Regisseurs zugleich.
