The documentary focuses on the life of the hula performers of the Spa Resort Hawaiian in Iwaki, Fukushima, after the earthquake in 2011 and their struggle to rebuild the resort. In 2006 Masaki KOBAYASHI already shot a making-of to the movie HULA GIRLS (Sang-il LEE), which was based on the story of the girls.

Masaki KOBAYASHI wurde 1966 geboren. Nach seinem Studium arbeitete er bei der Produktionsfirma TV MAN UNION. Er hat eine Vielzahl von Dokumentarfilmen, Dramen und Promotion-Videos gedreht. SKI JUMPING PAIRS – ROAD TO TORINO 2006 war sein Spielfilmdebut.
