Negishi has a dream: He wants to win the world’s hearts with trendy pop songs like “Raspberry Kiss”. But things are looking dim for Negishi’s pop career. His alter ego “Sir Johannes Krauser the 2nd”, lead singer of the death metal band “Detroit Metal City” however, is revered by the Japanese death metal scene. When Negishi runs into lovely Yuri, his university crush, his double identity becomes a problem.

About Toshio LEE
李闘士男
Toshio LEE was born in Osaka in 1964 and studied literature at Nihon University in Tokyo. Initially active in television, he made his first feature film, BACKDROP OF MY PAPA, in 2004. DETROIT METAL CITY is his second feature film and was a huge hit at the Japanese box office.
