60-year-old Katsu enjoys his tranquil life in the woods. Suddenly a film crew bursts into the scenery and interrupts his work with the shooting of a zombie film. An improbable friendship develops between the rustic lumberjack and the nervous and insecure rookie-director Koichi.

沖田修一

Shuichi OKITA was born in Aichi Prefecture in 1977 and studied at Nihon University College of Art. He made his directorial debut with WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD in 2006. His comedy THE WOODSMAN AND THE RAIN (2011) won the Jury Prize at the 2011 Tokyo International Film Festival, as well as the NIPPON CINEMA AWARD at the 2012 NIPPON CONNECTION Film Festival.
