Aya HANABUSA 纐纈あや
Tale Of A Butcher Shop
ある精肉店のはなし
Nippon Visions ½
Through sunlit alleys, a cow is led to a slaughterhouse in Osaka. There, the animal is killed and its meat cut up. This is a part of the life of the Kitade family who has been running a small butcher shop for generations. But the documentary also shows the discrimination that Burakumin people, the outcasts of traditional Japanese society, still have to face to this day.
