Kimonos, game consoles, photography and more – this year’s supporting program will make the hearts of all culture lovers beat faster. Culinary delights and Japanese handicrafts await you in numerous workshops: In addition to classics such as the tea ceremony, you can get to know colored woodblock prints or Japanese embroidery patterns and try them out for yourself. There is also a large performance and concert program, which could not be more diverse, with sounds ranging from folk music by the world-famous master yodeler Takeo ISCHI, to traditional sounds on the koto and shamisen, to the wild punk band TsuShiMaMiRe. Moreover, there will also be exciting lectures and panel discussions, including a panel on this year’s thematic focus CITYSCAPES AND COUNTRYSIDE.
